Sustainable Beauty: Going Beyond Nature

On 24th September 2019, we hold a full day Personal Care Seminar at Aston Priority Simatupang, Indonesia to promote natural and sustainable ingredients, together with our partner, Sino Lion. We had a total of 51 participants joining us!

Some prototypes were prepared in our laboratory to showcase our ingredients’ functions.

There was a Live Demo session, where some participants volunteered to make sulfate-free & silicone-free shampoo. After that, our lab chemists showed the shampoo’s foam texture and how it could save water and rinse easily compared to mainstream SLES-based shampoo. Besides, we also showed our innovative thickening technology in producing SLES-free formulation.

At the end of seminar, participants were grouped into 6 groups for the Sustainable Skin Care Challenge session. The session was an interactive activity, where participants were able to apply what they learnt from the seminar to complete the challenge. They were given time to come out with prototype formulation with a high Natural Origin Content Index. Also the time was given for them to make a marketing poster of the prototype.

Besides, in order to promote Sustainable Beauty, we launched Sustainability Ambassador Campaign leveraging on Facebook platform. Participants uploaded their pictures with innovative post promoting sustainability. The winner will get mysterious prizes from us.

We believe that we managed to demonstrate how possibly our customers can adopt natural ingredients into their formulation. We are pleased with it as our mission is to attain “Life Enriching Chemistry.” We will continue to aim for encouraging the use of new innovative chemistry to make our lives better.
