Coffee waste when not taken care of properly, can vastly contribute to global warming via the release of greenhouse gases, such as methane. Kaffe Bueno is an award-winning Danish company that is changing the way we think about coffee. The company was founded in 2016 by Alejandro Franco and Ivica Giric, two scientists who were inspired by the idea of turning coffee waste into a valuable resource. They realized that the by-products of coffee production, such as coffee grounds and fruit pulp, were being wasted on a massive scale. Instead of letting this valuable resource go to waste, they decided to find a way to upcycle it. Kaffe Bueno’s mission is to create sustainable and high-quality products that benefit both people and their planet. They achieve this by using innovative technology to transform coffee waste into new products.
This 2023, Maha Chemicals and Kaffe Bueno are collaborating to bring in more sustainable and innovative ingredients to the personal care market.
