Are you having problems of yellowing or micro-bubbles in your powder coatings ?
Benzoin is a commonly used degassing additive in powder coatings to remove micro-bubbles. However, at high levels it contributed to yellowing of the coatings. At lower dosage it is not able to eliminate micro-bubbles completely.
Powdermate® from Troy is a non-yellowing degassing additive for powder coatings. It will not cause yellowing at the same dosage as benzoin.
It is suitable for the below powder coating resin systems.
- Polyester – TGIC
- Polyester – HAA
- Polyester – Epoxy (Hybrid)
- Polyester – Urethane
The other benefits of Powdermate® are:
- Excellent degassing
- Excellent over-bake resistance
- Good inter-coat adhesion
- Can be post-blended for batch corrections
- 100% active free flowing powder
