Hyperpigmentation is caused by:
- The excess of melanin production. It is the most common skin problem in countries where people are highly exposed to UV light.
- The hormonal changes, genetic issues and post-inflammatory pigmentation.
Most of the whitening agent can only inhibit the synthesis of melanin, but what about the existing melanin beneath our skin? With the autophagy technology developed, Melazero has successfully erased Melanin and prevent the synthesis of melanin within two weeks.
What is Autophagy?
Autophagy is a Nobel Prize winning mechanism. It is a core process for degrading and recycling of cellular components. Autophagy concept was first identified that our cells are capable to destroy its own contents by enclosing in its membrane. Double-membrane vesicles (Autophagosome) will be formed and transport to a recycling compartment known as lysosome for degradation. In our cells, there are different specialized compartments. Lysosomes is one of the specialized compartments. It was observed that lysosome contains large amount of cellular content such as enzyme that digest the protein, carbohydrate and lipids. Therefore, cell appeared to have its own strategy to deliver large amount of cellular content to lysosome. Cellular contents, such as damaged proteins will be surrounded by formed autophagosome. So, how does Melazero activate Autophagy? (Melanophagy)
Using the concept of autophagy, Melazero will activate the mechanism of autophagy which help to erase the existing melanin found in our skin!
When Melazero is applied to our skin:
- Melanin will be enclosed by phagophore
- Autophagosome formed and engulfs melanin as LC3l protein converted to LC3ll Protein
- Autophagosome will fused with lysosome and melanin will be broken down into amino acid.
Above result shows B16F1 melanoma cell stably expressing LC3 were treated with Melazero for 24 hr. Then, the cells were fixed to image. After 24hr, the cells with formation of autophagic puncta structure with LC3 were counted under a fluorescence microscope. The fluorscence in the Melazero treated cells (photo at the center) is the evidence of LC3 expression. Autophagy mechanism has activated, while arbutin has no effect on autophagy factor. Hence, no existing melanin erasing for Arbutin.
How effective is Melazero as compared to other whitening agent?
Comparison with 2% of Kojic Acid, 1% Melazero is capable to reduce melanin in our skin to a greater extent, with lesser darkspots depicted.
Using a graph for illustration, Melazero shows the immediate and fastest whitening effect on the day 3 at a lower dosage as compared to when Kojic Acid is in used.
According to clinical test, melanin value has reduced from 163.99 to 144.17 in 2 weeks when Melazero was used! On the other hand, alpha arbutin required minimum 4 weeks to get a comparable result as Melazero.
Is Melazero safe to use?
In our clinical test with 34 people, there is no signs of skin irritation within 24 hours of application!

- Heat phase A until the temperature is 70oC
- Heat phase B until the temperature is 70oC
- Add phase B to phase A, then mixing with Mixer, speed 400rpm until the solution become lotion
- Add phase C to no.3, continue mixing Polyacrylamide (and) C13-14 isoparaffin (and) laureth-7 become homogenous
- Allow the product to cool to 40-50oC, Add phase D to no.4, continue mixing
- Add phase E to no.5, continue mixing
