Hyperpigmentation is a common skin problem that many people face and is caused by excess melanin production. Melanin are compounds that serve predominantly as pigments. These pigments are derivatives of the amino acid, tyrosine and the 2 main types of naturally occurring pigments that affect skin colour are eumelanin and pheomelanin. Most whitening agents act by inhibiting melanin production; however, existing melanin deposits are left untargeted.

What is Melazero?

Evidence of efficacy
Fluorescence observed in Melazero treated cells indicate the activation of autophagy. Arbutin, another whitening agent does not trigger autophagy.
All except the control (-), were treated with α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α -MSH). α -MSH stimulates the production and release of melanin by melanocytes in the skin and hair. It is evident that Melazero is capable of reducing tyrosinase and melanin.
Effectiveness compared to kojic acid:
Melazero has higher efficacy in reducing melanin as compared to kojic acid.
Whitening effect observed after 2 weeks:
A clinical test conducted on 22 individuals shows that Melazero is able to deliver results quickly. In just 2 weeks, melanin value decreased from 163.99 to 144.17! Other whitening agents require a minimum of 4 weeks to produce similar results.
1% of Melazero is non-toxic and is able to retain the cells’ normal morphology. It is safer than kojic acid.
According to cytoxicity test, cells remained viable even when a dosage of 2% of Melazero was used.
According to the patch test performed on 34 people, Melazero does not trigger skin irritation.
