In this time, there will be a detailed presentation on the whitening agent, Tranexamoyl Dipeptide-23 (TranEX-1 ).
Tranexamic acid is an ingredient which pharmacologically has anti-inflammatory/anti-allergic and hemostatic effects. In addition, it is a functional whitening agent, which has been found to have an excellent effect in the treatment of freckles for skin and has recently increased in use.
Mechanism of Tranexamoyl Dipeptide-23
Tranexamic acid has a similar structure to melanin and acts as a competitive inhibitor, inhibiting the activity of Tyrosinase.
And such efficacy of tranexamic acid is proven from Melanin Inhibition Assay as shown below.
Tranexamoyl Dipeptide-23 has a similar or higher efficacy than the Arbutin which is used as a Control group and has a more excellent inhibition of melanogenesis than TXA.
Tranexamic acid also inhibits the activity of kallikrein (KK) and inhibits the expansion of blood vessels, thereby improving dark circles.
Based on the clinical study on its efficacy, where the test was conducted to people of age 30s to 50s for 4 to 8 weeks by applying TranEx-1 on the whole face and freckle zone, there was whitening improvement rate of 235.9% when TranEx-1 was applied compared with control group, as the following data shows.
Also, as the following shows, the product was effective in improving skin tone and freckles.
